sambio:

President Bush’s bullhorn speech.

“I can hear you! I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people — and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!”

Say what you will about the failures of his presidency, but the sincerity, empathy, and compassion portrayed by President Bush here is a testament to his legacy, just as the calm and resolve of President Obama’s speech on Sunday night will stand as a testament to his legacy. Even deeply flawed leaders do have shining moments of leadership.
